Senior Coach Announced

23 Aug 2018 by Nicholas Ryan

The PFCC Pirates are delighted to announce Aaron Williams as senior coach for season 2018-19.

Aaron was approached about taking on the role prior to the end of last season but was unable to commit due to work. We are pleased that this situation has changed and he is now able to fully commit to leading the Pirates into the new season.

Aaron has an incredible playing record in the WDCA and is regarded as one of the premier batsmen and wicket keepers.

Last season’s captain; Jordan Graham will take on an assistant coaching position after a stellar season. His continual growth and maturity will be further enhanced under the mentoring of Aaron.

The Pirates have also had a committee restructure in the offseason. New president Matt Dempsey is thrilled with the signing of both Williams and Graham and added that with the return of star international player Jason Perera, believes the pirates will again be a contender

“It’s a great result for the club. Players with the talent and experience of those three leaders are hard to come by and we are confident that with them guiding us this season, as well as a re-structured pathway for our burgeoning junior program, we will start to see positive on field results in the coming seasons”

Training will commence this coming Wednesday the 29th of August at 6pm in the Indoor Centre. All players new, past and present are encouraged to attend.
